Consign Your Gently Pre-owned Equipment
At South Coast Sport & Consignment (SCS) we understand sports can get expensive. We offer competitive consignment fees. You as the consignor can get up to 55% of the sell price of your items. When you consign your gently used equipment, we sell your item in our brick & mortar storefront as well as on our e-commerce store.
How Does It Work?
When you bring your items in, our staff will inspect them and let you know if anything not up to store standards. We then have you fill out the Consignment Contract, and you leave your equipment with us to further inspect and process. After doing research, we price your items based on what the going rate may be for online sales, the condition of the item, and the original retail value when it was new. Your consignment will then be placed on our showroom floor for the duration of that particular sport season. Due to our space restrictions, we occasionally swap out inventory, storing items that are not in-season. Your items will also be available for purchase on our e-commerce store. We keep items on consignment for a 1 year from the time of drop off.
How Do Payouts Work?
As the consignor you can get up to 55% of the item sell price. You can choose from 3 types of payouts. SCS processes consignor payouts approximately 10 days after the close of each month for the previous months sales.
- Store Credit - 55% to the consignor - No fee - Store credit never expires
- Check - 50% to the consignor - A check will be mailed to you - Print & mailing fee: $1.50 - Checks expire 90 days from issue date
- ACH - 50% to the consignor - Direct deposit through our safe & secure system - Transfer fee: $2.50
What Type Of Equipment Is Accepted?
ALL ITEMS MUST BE CLEAN AND SALE READY. This means they are free of any dirt/mud/debris, tape/stickers, stains, odor, and pet hair. Items are to be clean inside and out, top to bottom. Items are to be free of any damage, without holes, rips, or tears. All parts and pieces must be present. Any items found not up to these standards will not be accepted. Any items found not up to these standards after initial intake will be disposed of without further notice so we ask you to take the time to clean and inspect items before you come.
